Abayubá Ibáñez , full name Abayubá Ibáñez Bentancour , (* in Sayago ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

Ibáñez began his career under coach Ondino Viera at Liverpool Montevideo . At least in 1967 he played for Club Atlético Defensor . In 1971 he was again in the ranks of the Liverpool Fútbol Club and took part with its team on the European tour that lasted from mid-March to May 1971.

National team

Ibáñez was a member of the senior national team of Uruguay , for which he completed 13 international matches between April 24, 1964 and July 18, 1971. He did not score an international goal. He was part of the Uruguayan squad at the South American Championship in 1967 , in which the Celeste, supervised by Juan Carlos Corazzo , won the title.
