Abbo (Bishop of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne)

Abbo († before 876) officiated as Bishop of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne around the middle of the 9th century . His exact term of office is not known.

Abbo succeeded Joseph as Bishop of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne in 858 . He stayed with other bishops in Langres in 858 and there, on May 20th, signed a donation made by Jonas , Bishop of Autun , to the cathedral chapter of this city. On April 19, 859, the documentary confirmation was given by Jonas, which was also issued in Langres. From there, Abbo went to the council in Savonnières near Toul in June 859 . In 860 he took part in the Synod of Tusey near Vaucouleurs in Lorraine . In 876 Adalbert held the episcopate of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne.
