Life

Abby Johnson studied psychology and counseling. After completing her studies, she initially volunteered for the pro- abortion organization Planned Parenthood , then until the end of 2009 she ran an abortion clinic in Bryan, Texas . She actively campaigned for a liberal abortion practice in the United States. In October 2009, she assisted an abortion that was controlled with ultrasound . The images of the ultrasound scans on the screen led her to quit the abortion clinic and join the US rights movement. Her case quickly gained national attention and was widely commented on in the media. Planned Parenthood, who ran the abortion clinic where she worked, accused her of breaching professional secrecy and brought legal action against her. She was acquitted of all charges.

She described her experiences as the head of the abortion clinic and her life path in the book Unplanned . At Easter 2011 she converted to the Roman Catholic Church as part of her new stance on abortion . Since February 2011 Johnson has been working for the life rights organization Live Action . She has been blogging for the LifeNews.com website since June 2011 . She has been a part-time employee of Americans United for Life since 2012 .

In 2019 the film Unplanned by Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman was released about their life story.
