Abdelkader Allali

Abdelkader Allali ( Arabic عبد القادر علالي, DMG ʿAbd al-Qādir ʿAllālī ) is a Moroccan climatologist .

He graduated from the University of Rabat in 1984 with a degree in agronomy , and in 1985 he received a diploma in physical geography from the Sorbonne in Paris . He finished his doctorate in 1995 with a thesis on the dynamics of the Moroccan climate .

Allali researches processes in coastal areas, fresh water and snow as well as in the fields of agriculture and forestry. He works for the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Forestry.

Allali was appointed to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and was involved in 2007 as Vice-Chair of Working Group II "Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability" in a responsible position in the preparation of the fourth assessment report .
