from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Abdul Kasim madrasah in Tashkent was built in the 16th century. At first it was a complex consisting of a mosque , bathing establishment and madrasah . This madrasah is located in a park-like complex not far from Bunyodkor Avenue and Furkat Street. For a long time the madrasah was remote, but now it has a big neighbor - the parliament building.

The place where the complex was located was called Jangi Machalla , and it was one of the social centers. Initially, the Abdul Kasim madrasah was a one-story building. In 1864 it was restored and the second floor was built. In the madrasah, artisans have their workshops and sell their products, such as miniature paintings, lacquer boxes and wood carvings.
