Slam movie night
The Slam Movie Night is a Swiss short film festival .
John Wilhelm, the founder of the Slam-Movie-Night, transferred the concept of the poetry slam to short films of all types and genres. Filmmakers send in their films in advance, which are then rated by the audience. The audience has the option of prematurely breaking off a film showing by boos. Among films that have not ended prematurely, a winner will be determined by the audience at the end of the event.
Previous venues have been Winterthur , St. Gallen , Bern , Zurich and Lucerne . Further implementation of the event in German-speaking neighboring countries (Germany, Austria) are planned.
From June 1, 2007, the winner will be presented with the golden slamy.
