Lara Stoll (born May 2, 1987 in Schaffhausen ) is a Swiss slam poet , filmmaker , actress and author .

Life

Lara Stoll grew up in Rheinklingen in the canton of Thurgau . She completed the teachers' seminar in Kreuzlingen and completed a bachelor's degree in film and directing at the Zurich University of the Arts in 2015 . After a stay in Winterthur , she now lives in Zurich . In 2005 she appeared for the first time at a poetry slam and in 2014 and 2015 worked as a specialist advisor to the Swiss documentary film expert commission.

In July 2016 Lara Stoll hit the headlines because she had promised joints , among other things, as a reward during a crowdfunding on the wemakeit platform . wemakeit later emphasized that the promise was only meant ironically.

  • 2011: Thurgau Culture Prize for her “untiring energy and literary talent”.
  • 2011: Kleinkunstpreis De goldenig Biberflade
  • 2010: 1st place in the first Swiss Slam Poetry Championship.
  • 2010: 1st place in the first European Poetry Slam Championships in Reims , with the text Why I would sometimes like to be a John Deere 7810 tractor!
  • 2009: 2nd place at the Swiss Youth Film Festival , with the film adaptation of Das Besteck und ich .
