Kalzendorf
Kalzendorf is part of the municipality of Steigra in the Saale district .
history
Until 1815 Kalzendorf (1589 Caltzendorf ) was an official village in the Saxon office of Freyburg and then came to Prussia. In 1689, 31 possessed men lived in the village, including 7 Anspänner and 24 Hintersättler. The village corridor comprised 14 Hufen and bordered with Steigra, Jüdendorf and the Landstrasse (today's Bundesstrasse 180 ) at Schnellroda .
The place belonged to the area of the district court Karsdorf and was in church terms a branch of the main church Steigra.
Osterberg tunnel
The east portal of the Osterberg tunnel, a more than 2 km long railway tunnel on the new Erfurt – Leipzig / Halle line, is located near Kalzendorf . The information center for the tunnel is also located at the east portal.
