Adventure Archeology was a popular science magazine about human history and the study of their cultures .

It has been published by the Heidelberger Spektrum der Wissenschaft Verlagsgesellschaft since 2004 , initially every three months (four times a year). The magazine has been published every two months since August 2006. With issue 5/2007, the last issue of Adventure Archeology was published on October 5, 2007 . As part of an editorial realignment, the publisher has been issuing a new magazine called epoc since December 2007 .

Under the name Adventure Archeology (journal for interdisciplinary and applied archeology) , a publication by the archeology association ARRATA e. V. published. The booklet was initially designed in 1999 as a supplement to the Hunsrück Archeology Days, later as the association's annual publication. Efforts in the years 2002 to 2004 to get support from one of the 'big publishers' and to sell the magazine nationwide failed. Efforts to protect the name rights were rejected by the patent office. The magazine continues to function as a regionally distributed club magazine in the Hunsrück and Middle Rhine area.
