Adventure Middle Ages - Life in the 15th Century is the title of a five-part documentary series that was broadcast on Arte and MDR in November 2005 and produced in joint production by ARD , Arte and MDR . The film was shot at Burgk Castle in Thuringia in the summer of 2005.

concept

The subject of the documentary was life in a medieval castle . In doing so, life in the Middle Ages should be lived out by twelve people in the best possible way. Here the concept of productions such as Black Forest House 1902 was applied.

In the center of the series stood a bailiff and a squire who was to be trained as a knight . The hard life in the Middle Ages, food preparation, poor hygiene and class differences formed the narrative framework.
