Discharge height
The discharge height , mostly abbreviated as hA, is a water balance quantity and indicates the total water discharge of a regional catchment area within a certain time interval (for example a month or a quarter). It is measured in mm / time unit . The size is defined in DIN 4049 .
The runoff can occur both above ground in bodies of water and underground as groundwater .
