Abigail Zsiga (born before 1992) is a British singer , songwriter and music producer . She is one of the most successful representatives in the field of Hi-NRG music.

Career

Abigail was initially a studio singer for the Love Decade project and sang as Gail on their chart hit I Feel You in 1992 .

After that she started her solo career. The single Could It Be Magic debuted at number 1 on the UK Hi-NRG Club Chart and thus became her first major success.

In the following years she released several dance versions of international hits. With Constant Craving (originally by the Canadian singer KD Lang ) she also became known abroad; in the US, the title was at the top of the DMA Hi-NRG Club Chart for 19 weeks . Smells Like Teen Spirit , originally by Nirvana , made it to number 29 in the British singles charts and also gave it greater attention in German-speaking countries. The third major cover was Losing My Religion by REM. The success of the singles eventually led to the creation of the album Feel Good , which was released in 33 countries in 1995. For the album she received several dance music awards .

Following the release of a remix EP and a club tour, she retired into private life for some time and gave birth to a daughter.

In 1998 Abigail signed a contract with Interhit Records. In collaboration with Janice Robinson (former singer of the Italian group Livin 'Joy ), the title Let the Joy Fly was created , which was published in 1999 and was able to seamlessly build on previous successes. With the singles If It Don't Fit and You Set Me Free , released the following year , Abigail posted two number one hits on the official US dance charts. All three tracks were produced by the dance duo Thunderpuss .

In 2006 the second album Home… Again was released , from which the single Songbird was released.

In 2010 the third album Be Still My Soul was released , which represents a complete break in style with Abigail's earlier works and mainly contains reflective, Christian-religious hymns.

Abigail supports the human rights organization Love146 , which works against the kidnapping and exploitation of children.
