Ablation
As Abluation (of lat. Abluere 'wash off', 'wash away') is in the geomorphology of the superficial rinsing of fine sediment referred to as by escaping from patches of snow melting water or by summer rainfall under periglacial is related conditions. In the first case, the ablation is part of the complex process of nivation . Summer meltwater occurs regularly in periglacial areas during the thawing period, which then leads to regularly repeated washings. The washed off sediment is deposited again below the snow patches in the form of fans or in small depressions . The corresponding deposits are referred to as abluate sediments.
