Exhaust hose

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An exhaust hose is a long, flexible hose made of plastic and metal that is used to transport exhaust air .

An exhaust air hose usually consists of a long flexible metal spiral that is welded into a thin white plastic film. Both complement each other in their function of giving the exhaust air hose support and shape.

The inside diameter of an exhaust air hose is 8-10 centimeters. Since exhaust air hoses are manufactured endlessly, the length can vary depending on the requirements. Commercially available lengths between 2 and 20 meters are available wherever there are tumble dryers or air conditioning systems .

Exhaust hoses are used wherever low-temperature exhaust air (up to approx. 65 degrees) that is emitted by a device is to be diverted away from it, and rigid exhaust ducts made of hard plastic are not suitable.
