Aboasi

Aboasi is a place in the Central Region in Ghana . It is located between the town of Dunkwa (five kilometers away) and the city of Saltpond and Fort Amsterdam . There is a gold deposit in Aboasi. The place became famous when on December 18, 1836, a large earthquake, the epicenter of which was in Axim , resulted in the death of numerous miners.
