Abrachia

Abrachia (Greek-Latin, noun, feminine) is a medical term and describes a congenital absence of the arms. It is a form of an amelia .

In veterinary medicine , abrachia or amelia anterior is described as a bilateral lack of the forelegs, in birds a lack of wings , as a congenital malformation . In contrast, the absence of the hind limbs is called apody or amelia posterior .
