Abraham Berliner

Abraham Berliner (born May 1, 1833 in Obersitzko ; † April 21, 1915 in Berlin ) was a Jewish scholar, literary historian, since 1873 lecturer in Jewish history and literature at the Rabbinical Seminary in Berlin , founder (1874) and until 1893 editor of the “Magazin für die Wissenschaft des Judentums ”, co-founder of the orthodox Berlin Adass Jisro'el congregation and chairman of its representative assembly .

He also provided critical editions ( Raschi zum Pentateuch , 1905; Targum Onkelos , 1884) and historical accounts (“From the Life of German Jews in the Middle Ages”, 1900).
