Bernhard Wündisch

Bernhard Karl Otto Wündisch (* 1948 in Berlin ) is a German tax officer and politician ( SED ). In 1990 he was the acting mayor of the city of Frankfurt (Oder) .

Wündisch grew up in Berlin-Lichtenberg. His father was a Wehrmacht officer and built up the National Democratic Party of Germany in the GDR . After graduating from high school, Wündisch studied economics with a focus on taxes.

Until 1983, Wündisch worked in the Frankfurt District Council in the Finance Department for the Taxes and Duties Department. On January 1, 1983, he was elected Frankfurt City Councilor for Finance and Pricing. From mid-December he sat at the city's round table as a representative of the city administration . After Fritz Krause fell ill , Wündisch took over the post of Lord Mayor from February to May 1990.

After the official business was handed over on May 21, 1990, Wündisch was commissioned by the district administrative authority to set up new tax offices in the still existing Frankfurt (Oder) district . He moved as a member of parliament for the SED successor party, the PDS, in the Frankfurt city parliament. Wündisch resigned from the PDS in 1992 and resigned his mandate in 1993. In the following years he was head of the tax offices in Brandenburg (1993–1996), Cottbus-Mitte (1996–1999) and Eberswalde (1999–2014).

Wündisch now lives in retirement in Eberswalde .
