Gero Friedrich

Gero Friedrich (born July 21, 1900 in Frankfurt (Oder) ; † July 6, 1946 in Brunsholm ) was a civil and criminal judge at the Frankfurt (Oder) district court and the Frankfurt (Oder) regional court . On April 4, 1938, he was Lord Mayor of the city of Forst and from May 6, 1943 to September 12, 1943, he was provisional Lord Mayor of Frankfurt (Oder) and then back in Forst.

Friedrich received his doctorate in 1923 after studying law and passed the major state examination in 1926. Then he was civil and criminal judge at the district and regional court of Frankfurt (Oder). On May 18, 1927, Friedrich was elected to the city council. He headed the legal department and in 1933 took over the finance department of the city of Frankfurt. In 1938 he was appointed mayor of the city of Forst. In 1943 Friedrich was appointed State Commissioner to take over the business of the Lord Mayor of Frankfurt.

As Lord Mayor, he was also a member of the supervisory board of Frankfurter Elektrizitätswerke GmbH (FEW) in Frankfurt (Oder), founded in 1922.
