Julius Eduard Ludwig Gensichen (born November 5, 1797 in Küstrin , † June 24, 1879 in Triebel , Brandenburg ) was a German lawyer and Lord Mayor of Frankfurt (Oder) (1838-1850).

The Counsel Gensichen was established in 1825 salaried city council in Frankfurt and was in 1833 the mayor of the city.

On October 12, 1837 he decided the election of the Lord Mayor for himself and was re-elected on January 18, 1844 for a second term. During his tenure, the new commandant's office at Kleiner Wilhelmsplatz (built in 1838), the city theater (built in 1842) and the station building were built. In addition, the city received a rail link to Berlin and Breslau . A connection with Posen could only be realized in 1870.

On April 1, 1850, Gensichen resigned his mayor's office after his term of office had expired. He died in Triebel and was buried in Frankfurt (Oder).
