Wolfgang Klaus
Wolfgang Oskar Klaus (* 1930 in Frankfurt (Oder) ) is a former German politician of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED). In 1965 he was Lord Mayor of Frankfurt (Oder).
After the liberation of Frankfurt in 1945, Klaus began to work in the city administration. After Lord Mayor Lucie Hein had died, Klaus became interim mayor as the acting 1st deputy mayor. He held this office from September 15 to November 4, 1965. After his successor Fritz Krause had been elected, Klaus retired from politics and the city administration and worked for the council of the Frankfurt (Oder) district .
