The Geographe Bay is a bay on the Indian Ocean in the southwest of Australia , about 220 kilometers from Perth Station.

It begins near the town of Bunbury and extends over the towns of Busselton and Dunsborough to the northern tip of the Leeuwin Naturaliste National Park at Cape Naturaliste . Characteristic of this coastal section of Western Australia is the very shallow water, which makes it difficult for larger ships to access the neighboring coastal cities, especially for larger ships.

The Geographe Bay was named in May 1801 after the ship Le Géographe of the French navigator Nicolas Baudin .
