Abraham Cooper (rabbi)

Abraham Cooper (* 1950 in New York City ) is an American rabbi and deputy director of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles .

Cooper campaigned for the Jews in the Soviet Union and, in the 1970s, also visited the “ refuseniks ” - Soviet Jews who had been refused entry. He helped found the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles in 1977 and helped open the Jewish Cultural Center in Moscow in the 1980s .

Abraham Cooper campaigns for human rights worldwide and is a keen observer of “ hate groups ” on the Internet.
