The Emmendingen billing center is a service company for billing and data management for statutory health insurances and other parties involved in the health care system, based in Emmendingen near Freiburg im Breisgau . It was founded in 1942 as a pharmaceutical clearing house in Strasbourg .

Nationwide, more than 80 health insurance companies in the entire GKV system as well as other social insurance providers belong to the customers. The Emmendingen accounting center is owned by the BKK -Landesverband Süd ( public corporation ).
