Scrap - The True Story of Ertan Ongun is a book by Feridun Zaimoğlu from 1997. It was also made into a film in 2000 under the title Kanak Attack . The work published by Rotbuch had five editions by 2003 alone.

Scrap tells the true story of a 25-year-old drug addict, criminal German Turk from Kiel , who describes in drastic words his milieu and his world of experiences between the street and prison, but also his desires and longings. According to the author's epilogue, the protagonist is an actual resocialized criminal who, after reading Zaimoğlus Kanak Sprak - 24 discordant notes from the fringes of society, came into contact with the poet in order to tell him his story so that he could tell her bring among the people.

The book is divided into 35 "stories" with titles such as The Puff-Aufmisch-Story and The Ömer-ist-Dead-Story and the author's afterword. The individual stories do not follow any chronological order. Although it is designated as a novel, it does not follow a typical novel structure.

In 1999, an edition translated into Italian by Alessandra Orsi was published. It was called Schiuma . A French version called Racaille was also published in France .
