Abstetten is a place in the market town of Sieghartskirchen in the Tulln district in Lower Austria .

history

The place was mentioned in a document in 983/991. The patronage of St. Martin der Kirche speaks for a Carolingian parish, which was first mentioned in a document in 1137. In the 12th century there were monastic possessions from Regensburg, Passau and Salzburg. In 1529 the Turks invaded. In 1590 there was an earthquake. In 1683, when the Turks invaded, there was a fire in the church and the rectory. In 1838 there was a major fire in the village. Until 1848 the place belonged to the rule Judenau. In 1925 the Große Tulln was regulated.

In the course of the Lower Austria. Municipal structure improvement, Abstetten was incorporated into the market town of Sieghartskirchen in 1972.
