Randol Abbey
The Abbey Randol is a 1971 French monastery of the Benedictine in Cournols , Puy-de-Dôme , Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Clermont .
history
The Benedictine Abbey of Fontgombault founded the subsidiary Notre-Dame de Randol in new buildings in 1971, fifteen kilometers south of Clermont-Ferrand , which was elevated to an abbey in 1981. In 1985 the church was completed and inaugurated. The monks are famous for their Gregorian chant . The monastery belongs to the Congregation of Solesmes .
