Abu Hamza Rabi'a
Abu Hamza Rabi'a (* 1967 in Egypt , † December 1, 2005 (?) In Pakistan ; Arabic أبو حمزة الربيعة, DMG Abu Hamza al-Rabi'a ) was an Egyptian deployment chief of al-Qaida , who was responsible in particular for international actions.
According to Pakistani sources, he was number 3 in the al-Qaeda hierarchy after the arrest of Abu Faraj al-Libi . The United States had put a $ 5 million bounty on Hamza Rabi'a .
According to official information, Rabi'a was killed on Pakistani soil on December 1, 2005 by a missile fired at his hiding place. The missile was probably shot down by an American Predator . However, Al-Qaeda denied this and his body has not yet been found.
