Abū Salama ibn ʿAbd al-Asad

Abū Salama ibn ʿAbd al-Asad ( Arabic أبو سلمة بن عبد الأسد, DMG Abū Salama ibn ʿAbdu l-Asad ; † 625 ) was one of the first Muslims and took part in the small emigration to Abyssinia .

He was married to Umm Salama , a future wife of the Prophet Muhammad . When he and his wife returned from exile , they eventually endured great difficulties on the part of the Quraish in Mecca .

He died at the Battle of Uhud .
