Abudius Ruso

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Abudius Ruso († after 34) was a Roman senator and delator under Emperor Tiberius . His life data and his family background have not been passed down. At the beginning of the 1930s he served in Upper Germany as a legacy under Gnaeus Cornelius Lentulus Geatulicus . Ruso was aedile when he attacked his former superior because of his connections with the Praetorian prefect Sejan , who had fallen out of favor three years earlier . It is unclear whether there were formal charges against Lentulus; In any case, he was not condemned, but Ruso was banished from Rome .

The only source for Ruso's work are the annals of Tacitus .
