A Abzähl-Patience is a simple solitaire , with a French Skat -Blatt of 32 cards or Rummy is played -Blatt of 52 cards.

Style of play

Like most solitaire games, countdown solitaire games are card games for a single person.

Simple counting solitaire with 32 cards

In the simple countdown solitaire, the cards on a mixed Skat sheet of 32 cards are laid out face up in four rows of eight cards each. The rows are now counted starting with the top row according to the normal sequence of cards seven - eight - nine - ten - jack - queen - king - ace. When the count value matches the corresponding card (regardless of the card suit), it is removed from the row and set aside.

When the player arrives at the end of the fourth row, he starts all over again, counting down again and removing matching card values. Any gaps that arise may be pushed together. The solitaire is won if you manage to discard all cards by counting.

Counting solitaire with 52 cards

The playing cards, a simple rummy sheet of 52 cards, are shuffled and placed face down as a stack ( talon ) in front of the player. Then the cards are turned over one by one and the sequence of cards Ace - Two - Three -… - Ten - Jack - Queen - King is counted. When the count value matches the face up card (regardless of the card suit), it is set aside. After the first round, the talon is shuffled and played two more times without the discarded cards. Solitaire is won when all cards have been set aside at the end of the third round - if this does not succeed, the solitaire does not open and is lost. If not a single card can be set aside in the first round, the solitaire is lost after this round.
