Badge "For high achievements in honor of the GDR"
The badge "For high achievements in honor of the GDR" was an award of the Free German Youth of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which was donated in 1967. The award was made to FDJ members in the schools of the GDR for exemplary fulfillment of the requirements of the FDJ statute. The lower part of the 28 mm high round badge consists of a semicircular laurel wreath with the FDJ symbol on the left and the young pioneer symbol on the right . The upper part consists of a wreath of ears with a hammer and compass in the middle. The center of the badge is a three-part blue tape , on the larger central part of which FOR HOHE LEISTUNGEN / TO HONOR OF THE GDR can be read. The two outer small areas of the band show 19 on the left and the second part of the year on the right, for example 67
Badges are known to date from 1967 to 1971.
The badge was also available as a 50 mm high cloth badge that was worn on the left arm of the FDJ shirt .
