Académie Diplomatique Africaine

The Académie Diplomatique Africaine (ADA; Diplomatic Academy of Africa ) is an international non-governmental organization . It was founded in Senegal in 1999 and is based in Dakar . The international secretariat is located in Berlin .

aims

The aim is to improve African diplomacy, which serves the sustainable development of culture and peace. The association sees itself as:

  • A “ think tank ” that includes seasoned experts and intellectuals in diplomacy and international relations, culture and education, science and new technology.
  • An independent “operational and intervening structure” on an international level for the benefit of the African continent.

The organization sees itself - with the support of the African Union and other regional African organizations - as a “lobby institution” for the African continent, and it is a space for the exchange of ideas, in order to reflect with foresight and on all essential questions about the future of Africa To advise on the continent. With this in mind, the ADA wishes to cooperate with all international organizations that support Africa in its development, as well as with the European Union, North and South American institutions, as well as institutions in the Middle East. In its work, the ADA would like to: promote the further development of Africa, prevent conflicts, increase worldwide sensitivity to the African objectives and thereby strengthen the ties between the African countries and thus also contribute to the promotion of human rights.

Members

Members are both African personalities and persons from the African diaspora, or internationally known personalities and others. In 2015 the association had 24 full-time employees.

  • International Executive Secretary: His Royal Highness Prince Dah BOKPE (Germany).
  • ADA Europe: Angela Koch (Belgium).
  • Scientific Committee: Arnaud de Raulin , Dean of the Law Faculty of Artois University (France) and Eddy Maloka, Director of the African Institute of South Africa.
