The Marun Dam is located about 19 km north of Behbahān on the river of the same name in the Iranian province of Chuzestan . The dam is 165 m high, making it the second highest rock debris dam in Iran . The volume of the reservoir is 1200 million m³, the volume of the dam is given as 8.59 million m³. The flood relief at the right abutment of the dam has a capacity of 10,800 m³ / s. The output of the hydropower plant is given differently with 75 or 150 megawatts.
