Academy Music Group
The Academy Music Group is a leading UK owner and operator of concert venues . It has fifteen concert halls across the UK.
Until 2009, the event centers were named Carling Academy , after the sponsor at the time, Carling . Since a partnership between the Academy Music Group and the mobile operator O2 . Since July 1, 2009, all eleven concert halls have been run under the name O2 Academy . According to the £ 22.5 million deal between the two companies, customers will be able to purchase concert tickets for these venues up to two days before non-UK customers. So far, 51 percent of the shares in the US company Live Nation belong .
Each location also houses smaller stages for lesser known artists.
