The Accademia Lucchese di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti is a scientific academy in Italy based in Lucca .

The academy dates back to the 16th century. The year 1584 is usually given as the year of foundation . In the early days the academy was known as the Accademia degli Oscuri . From 1805 to 1814 it was called Accademia Napoleone .

The academy now consists of three classes and 36 members: a humanities class ( Lettere ) with 20 members, a natural science class ( Scienze ) with 10 members and a class of arts ( Arti ) with 6 members. The current President of the Academy is Raffaello Nardi.
