Accuphase KK ( Japanese ア キ ュ フ ェ ー ズ 株式会社 , Akyufēzu Kabushiki kaisha , English Accuphase Laboratory Inc. , Accuphase stands for accurate phase "exact phase") is a manufacturer of consumer electronics based in Yokohama , Japan . The company was founded in 1972 by Jiro Kasuga and became known for its hi-fi components in the high-end sector such as amplifiers , CD players , tuners and accessories.

A distinguishing feature are the champagne-colored fronts of the devices, which are mostly designed as bolides, so they look very heavy.
