Achatius Klimax

Achatius Klimax was a saint and hermit in Asia Minor . He lived in the 5th century AD near the monastery on Monte Latrum in Caria (southwest Turkey). Achatius got his nickname Klimax (head) because he was mentioned in the work "Klimax tu paradeísu" by Johannes Klimakos .

The feast day of St. Achatius Klimax is November 27 or July 7 / November 29 ( Eastern Church ). In Hebrew, Achatius means "God holds", Greek means "The innocent". He is represented in art as an ascetic or a monk.
