Acilius Glabrio

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Acilius Glabrio was a Roman politician and senator from the gens Acilia . According to the poet Juvenal (4, 94) he held the office of consul . However, it is unclear when that should have been, as it does not appear in the official consulate lists. He was probably a suffect consul under Nero or Domitian . Juvenal reports that Acilius Glabrio took part in Domitian's deliberations. Glabrius' son Manius was consul in 91.
