Acoustic Revolution is a German acoustic trio that is assigned to the music genres Rock , Celtic, Irish Folk and Folk .

Band history

The band Acoustic Revolution was founded in 2000 by the Hamburg-born musician and composer Germar Thiele together with his longtime musical companions Tom Logan and Dennis Hornung. Originally, Acoustic Revolution was only intended as a side project. At the time, the three were mainly earning their money with the southern German cover rock band Undercover, which has since disbanded. The name refers to the purely acoustic line-up (double bass, western guitar, mandolin, banjo etc.) of the band, as well as to the “slightly different” way of preparing popular songs based on this line-up. Initially still on the road as an acoustic cover project, the band's program was gradually peppered with original compositions (including a few instrumentals), which today mark the trio's own style. The band is often supported on drums by the Augsburg professional Harald Alt, whom the three have known for many years from their school days together. After various in-house productions, Acoustic Revolution was discovered and produced in 2009 by the Berlin producer team Valicon around Bernd Wendlandt and Ingo Politz. The fruits of this labor came in 2010 in the form of the single The Abyss of Greed and the accompanying album Ramble and Roam . In 2012 the band released the album Haunted by Numbers with the single of the same name under their own label. In 2015 her album Finally Folk will be released . This time the band completely dispensed with drums or digital effects and recorded the songs exactly as they present them in their live concerts.
