Activision Tennis is a video game for the Atari 2600 game console . The game was launched in 1981 by Activision . It is one of a series of sports games released by Activision. This included Activision Boxing , among others . The game was developed by Alan Miller .

Gameplay

The two tennis players in the video game are shown in pink and blue. All the rules from a real tennis game are also used in this video game, with the exception of the rule "Out of bounds". Every ball that hits the outer line of the field of play is counted as one ball in the field of play. Due to the low resolution of the game, the tennis ball can be displayed as a square and not as a circle.

  • In 1983, RealSports Tennis by Atari was also a tennis video game for the Atari 2600, but with a higher color gamut, more detailed graphics , higher-resolution objects and more advanced physics.
