Adán Chavez
Adán Chávez Frías (born April 11, 1953 in Sabaneta ) is a Venezuelan politician and brother of Hugo Chávez . Since 2008 he has been governor of the state of Barinas .
Life
Adán Chávez studied education at the Universidad de Mérida. He was associated with radical left groups.
In January 2007, Adán Chávez was appointed Minister of Education by his brother. In 2008 he became a PSUV candidate for governor in the state of Barinas. When he was elected, he took over from his father, who had been governor of Barinas since 2004.
Chavez was traded as one of the possible successors of his late brother as head of state of Venezuela.
