Ada (Bible)

Ada ( Hebrew עָדָה; related to "decorate"; LXX : αδα; Vulgate : Ada) is a female biblical figure in the Book of Genesis . She is the first wife of Lamech (son of Metuschaël) and the mother of Jabal and Jubal . Ada is mentioned in Gen 4,19–23  EU : “Lamech took two wives; one was called Ada, the other Zilla. Ada gave birth to Jabal; he became the progenitor of those who lived in tents and with cattle. His brother was called Jubal; he became the progenitor of all zither and flute players. "
