Adam Drummond, 17th Baron Strange

Adam Humphrey Drummond, 17th Baron Strange (born April 20, 1953 ) is a British nobleman.

Drummond is the son of Captain Humphrey ap Evans, MC, who took the name Drummond of Megginch in 1965, and Cherry Drummond, 16th Baroness Strange , a British writer who was also a member of the House of Lords until 1999 . The 17th Baron dispensed with the addition of Megginch after his surname.

Drummond was educated at Eton, Sandhurst, and Heriot-Watt Universities . He was a major in the Grenadier Guards .

Drummond married Mary Emma Jeronima Dewar, daughter of Baron Forteviot, in 1988. They have a son and a daughter.

In 2005 he succeeded his mother as Baron Strange . The day before her death, she changed her will and bequeathed her entire fortune, including Megginch Castle, to her youngest daughter.
