Adam Linson

Adam Linson (* 1975 in Los Angeles ) is an American jazz and improvisation musician ( double bass , electronics, sampling ).

Adam Linson studied with George Lewis in San Francisco. In 2006 he made his debut solo album Cut and Continuum ; In 2007 he recorded the album Integument in a duo with Lawrence Casserley . In the field of jazz he was involved in six recording sessions between 2004 and 2008, including a. with Evan Parker ( Eleventh Hour , 2004), John Butcher ( Somethingtobesaid , 2009). In 2008 he recorded Figures and Grounds in Berlin as a quartet with Axel Dörner , Rudi Mahall and Paul Lytton . Linson has lived in Berlin since 2008, where he works with Alexander von Schlippenbach , among others .
