Adam Maciejewski was the Chairman of the Board of Management of the Warsaw Stock Exchange from February 2013 to July 2014 .

Life

Maciejewski studied at the Szkoła Główna Handlowa in Warsaw . He completed a postgraduate degree ( MBA ) at the Wyższa Szkoła Finansów i Zarządzania . Since 1994 he has been working on the Warsaw Stock Exchange; from June 2006 as a member of the board. Since then, he has been responsible for the development of trading, trading systems and IT as well as the derivatives market . He was also involved in a key role in the negotiations for strategic cooperation with NYSE Euronext . In January 2013 he replaced Ludwik Sobolewski as head of the stock exchange after a scandal surrounding his girlfriend.

Maciejewski was and is a member of the supervisory boards of various institutions, such as Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych SA (KDPW), Polska Giełda Finansowa SA , Xtrade SA and BondSpot SA He is a member of the jury for Galeria Chwały Polskiej Ekonomii . In his private life he is a collector and patron of Polish art.
