Adama Coulibaly (born September 10, 1980 in Bamako ) is a former Malian football player .

Career

society

Coulibaly's career began at the age of 18 with the Malian football club Djoliba AC . In 1999 he moved to the French first division club RC Lens .

In his first season he played five games in the UEFA Champions League and scored one goal. He played eight games, scoring two goals in the UI Cup and 17 games and one goal in the UEFA Cup . In Ligue 1 he was a regular player and one of the most important performers in the RC Lens team. In total, he came to 191 league games in nine years and scored nine goals for the RC Lens.

In 2008 he moved to league competitor AJ Auxerre. There Coulibaly played 30 games and scored one goal in his first season. By the end of the 2013/14 season, Coulibaly was active for the club in a total of 170 league games and scored 4 goals. He then moved to Valenciennes FC and ended his career there a year later.

National team

Since 2002, Coulibaly has participated in major events several times with the Malian national team. In 2002, 2004 and 2008 he was in the squad for the Africa Cup , in the qualifying rounds for the 2006 and 2010 World Cups he was a regular member of the team. In total, Coulibaly made 72 caps for Mali and scored one goal.
