The Adelaide Entertainment Center is a multi-purpose venue in Adelaide .
History and use
The arena was built from the late 1980s to 1991 at a cost of A $ 44 million on an area of 28,900 square meters . The building complex, consisting of a main hall and a side theater, was opened on July 20, 1991. The government of South Australia owns the property and commissions the Entertainments Corporation of Adelaide to operate and maintain the hall. The hall holds around 11,300 spectators and is mainly used for sports events in the disciplines of netball , basketball and wrestling . Concerts are also held at the Adelaide Entertainment Center. Internationally successful artists such as Eric Clapton , Miley Cyrus and Kylie Minogue have performed here .
