Adelaide Hills is a mountain range near Adelaide , in the Australian state of South Australia . The highest mountain there is Mount Lofty, 727 meters high . Lobethal , Hahndorf and Waterfall Gully are also located in the hills . The region is a popular excursion area with many tourist attractions.
