Adler - processed cheese was first produced in Wangen im Allgäu in 1922 and is one of the oldest processed cheese brands in Germany. The cheese and butter wholesaler Gebrüder Wiedemann, founded in 1892, introduced the first processed cheese preparation in Germany under the name Adler .

The triangular ( circular section ) cardboard boxes containing two processed cheese corners wrapped in aluminum foil are typical . The manufacturer calls the processed cheese Adler Edelcreme . They are available in the four flavors of cream , herbs , salami and mushrooms , all in the cream setting . According to the manufacturer, cheese contains between 28% and 34%, the main ingredient is rehydrated skimmed milk , plus butter and cream.

Today (2020) the brand belongs to Bel Germany . According to the package, the processed cheese preparation for the German market is now produced in Poland.
